Setup Screen. In the Setup screen you can make changes to two values.
- Definition of “Heat ON”; and
- Plunger Delay value (in seconds)
This machine is capable of heat sealing in three modes. Top & Bottom (Default value); Top Only and Bottom Only. Although Top & Bottom is the factory default, the other two modes may come in handy as new materials become available, or other methods are needed to provide special results. For example, heat sealing a heat sensitive layer of material to one side of a plastic sheet.
To choose Heat ON sealing modes, simply touch the mode type below the word HEAT on the left side of the SETUP menu. The radial button will fill in with the mode selected.
Plunger Delay is the delay, in seconds, from when the Upper Sealing Bar begins its travel to up position and when the Plunger rod begins travel. Applying pressure onto the material just sealed can often facilitate an easy “breakaway” of the sealing bar from the sealed material. Therefore this delay applies a few seconds of pressure after the Upper Sealing Bar begins its ascent to its upper position. Value preset in this example is 2.5 seconds, or 25 tenths of a second. To change the value touch the value you desire to change and a separate key pad will be shown. Use the key pad to enter the new value. Make sure to touch ENT to enter the value.
